Joseph Lillie emigrated from Suffolk, England, to Pennsylvania, marrying an Irish girl. In the 1860s and 1870s, children Clara, Josephine, Amanda, George, Mary and Viola were born.
MASON
Walker and isabella Mason left County Durhamin the late 1870s and made their home in Pennsylvaia, where children Jennie, John and William were born. Walker was a coal miner for much of his life.
RUPERT
Jeremiah Rupert and Elizabeth Kerr were both born in Clarion County, Pennsylvania and became the parents of eleven children. Some have yet to be traced but it is known one family line moved to Nebraska and later into Canada.
RUTTER
Joseph Rutter and his wife Ruth (nee Ingram) left England in 1887 to make their home in Pennsylvania.
TORDIFF
Tordiff is an unusual name in England and does appear on our family tree. Isaac Tordiff was born in Cumberland and with his Irish wife moved first to Scotland and then to the United States. son Joseph being born in Pennsylvania around 1868. Isaac was a coal miner from an early age.
WARREN
William Warren and his wife Matilda (nee Weatherburn) married in Lancashire, England, and emigrated after the birth of their first child, settling close to Philadelphia. William became a farmer although had worked as a machinist in his younger years.
