Edmund Lockington Stephenson Cardin married Mary Ann Scullard in Clay County in 1877. Both were from England. They are believed to have had four daughters and one son, although not all were born in this state.
FORESTER
William Forester was born around 1828 in England but was to marry in Minnesota , his wife, Elizabeth Tait, being from Northumberland, England. To date, four children - Robert, Anna, Susan and Martha - are known to have been born into this family, all born in this state.
TAIT
Joseph John Tait moved from England to Minnesota where he farmed his own land, something that would have been very difficult in his homeland. He married Martha Rucker from Ohio, their son, Ernest, becoming the father of eleven children after his marriage in 1894 to Nettie B Lyman. Tracing those children is something far from complete at this time.
