EADINGTON
Distant relations of our own Eadingtons are Thomas James (1914), Mary Winifred (1916), Margaret Elizabeth (1917) and Grace Marie (1919), all of whom were born in the Los Angeles area. We have, for many years, been researching their ancestry in the United Kingdom.
EUDEY
Joseph Eudey was a miner who came from Cornwall to the Easter States with his parents. He was a miner by trade, who eventually lived in California.
HENDRICK
Hulda Hendrick was born in California in 1893. She married Harry Reveley, a distant relation of our family.
LIGHTFOOT
Ann Hewitson Lightfoot left England with her husband and children in the 1920s and is known to have lived in Los Angeles from about 1930.
OGILVIE
John Moffat Ogilvie was descended from our Lightfoot family and married Mary Porteous who is also a Lightfoot descendant. The family was in Los Angeles by 1930. His brother Herbert also moved to this area.
PENHALL
Bennett Ackerley Penhall arrived in the USA around 1871 and was employed as a miner. He lived in Nevada City for some time but also spent some time in South Africa just after the turn of the century. He did return to California around 1910
By 1885, his sister Mary Penhall had arrived in California, presumably to meet up with her brother. She married Samuel Best in Nevada City. In later life, she was in Sacramento.
REVELEY/REAVELEY
Elsie (1914), Harriet (1915) and Harold (1916) are descendants of the Reveley family of Northumberland, England. This is another family line we have been researching for many years.
WALKER
Simpson Walker, a miner from the coalfields of County Durham, arrived in Philadelphia in 1903. He eventually settled in California.
